{Friday Favorites} - April 5

1// Chalkboard Printables - I'm addicted. I love these things. So cute and for a home, so easy and inexpensive to change up. Plus they are really encouraging. This printable came from Sweet Blessings. Check their webpage out for more great stuff.

2// I love this Sandra Roberts Bag...I've been in search for a new "laptop bag" that doesn't look like a laptop bag, but can hold one and other stuff. I found this one, but it was white...which scared me. I'm still looking for the perfect bag!! (Yes, I'm a bag lady as my dad would say!!)

3// Dry Shampoo...why did no one tell me about this stuff before. Because I am a runner I was washing my hair about 2 times a day. I love that I can spray this stuff in and save my self from a wash!!

4// New iPad holder. I've searched and searched...found this at Marshall's for $5...I love it!

5// Roman's 12: 9 - 13 what a piece of scripture...Challenging...what does it mean to Hate what is Evil..then you get to verse 12....it's short, but watch out...A lot of commands that are difficult in one little verse!! I've been so challenged, especially to be faithful in prayer. It's an area that I have struggled with a lot in my life. How to faithfully pray for others and intercede. God has been stretching me. I've joined this blog in doing the #PrayerDare.

A Royal Daughter

6//Coloring Easter Eggs...we didn't have dye...so we used MIO drink concentrate...They were odd colored Eggs, but we had fun!!

7// I've been trying to run more. Push to a newer level. I want to do another marathon this year. Yesterday I was feeling sluggish, then looked at my watch and realized it was the fastest run I've had here!!

I hope you have a good weekend!!

A Night of Soccer

My hubby loves to play soccer...and most nights I go to watch for a little bit, but normally it is on my way home from my run, so I don't get any good shots. Last night, I went up with my good camera (I'm trying to get better at photography) and took some fun action shots of my hubby and the guys!!

I was super proud of him and glad I could cheer him on!!

{Friday Favorites} - January 18

1. Claudy and I were able to travel to the U.S. for Christmas. We had a great time visiting my family. We helped my parents move, went to Green Bay and spoke at Forest Lake District Youth Conference, and relaxed. We are so thankful for our family who spent extra time with us!!

2. Had a great week with Constance Free Church. We worked with many of our partnering organizations.

They wanted to participate in knitting class also!

3. Frensky - Some of you know this little boy if you visited OLTCH in the early days of RG being in Haiti. He was a very sick little boy (he is 3). I saw him this week at MyLIFEspeaks!! He is getting bigger and stronger!!! and is as cute as ever!!

4. I love my HUSBAND!! - Our water pressure has been even worse than usual. So Claudy jumped in the tanks to clean them out!!

5. Crocheting...I haven't crocheted in a while, but our group of knitters this week stirred an interest in me. I made 3 Kindle covers (I don't have 3 kindles - let me know if you want me to make you one). If you want to make your own here is the pattern...

Chain an even number of chains - a little smaller than the width of your kindle, nook, iPad, phone, etc...

Row 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook to the end. Ch 1. Instead of turning sc in same ch, but the other loop and work your way back to the front. This creates the base of your cover.

Row 2. trc in first sc from row 1. then sc (this creates the bubble). *Trc, Sc * until the end of your loop.

Row 3. Sc in every stitch all the way around

Row 4. * sc in first stitch, then trc * Repeat all the way around

Row 5:  Sc in every stitch all the way around

Repeat until your cover is as tall as your device.

To make flap... continue pattern, but instead of crocheting all the way around turn and make a new row.

Have a great day!!

{25 Days of Christmas} - Day 8 & 9

Claudy and I are traveling to Minnesota in two weeks. We decided to start looking at the forecast! This is what we saw!!

With that being said....it is our last free weekend before going to the states, so we decided to spend some time with Claudy's family!

We also decided to spend some time enjoying the tropics. We had a great get away to Wahoo Bay Beach Resort (I know, suffering for Jesus) It was really relaxing!!

We don't have snow...but Christmas in the tropics can be pretty!!

Mary proclaimed Jesus as the Risen Lord. To call Him "Lord" is to submit to His rule, power, dominion and authority. This is the surrendered heart. As worshipers of Christ, we don't just know Jesus as the One who saves us from our sins, but we also worship Him as the Risen Lord. The One who rules and reigns. The only One who has the right to sit upon the throne of our hearts. This is Christmas, let us not only worship the Lord Jesus Christ with our words, but also with our lives through humble service and loving obedience. Let us give Him all the Glory, for He alone is Worthy! (from Redeemed Girl - to read more click on the link)

{Friday Favorites} - November 16

How did it happen that we are already in the middle of November? That next week is Thanksgiving? That in 14 days I will start my traditional 25 Days of Christmas on the Blog! This is crazy! On another note, we are very excited to have my parents visiting us during this Thanksgiving Holiday!!! They come Sunday!!

I have always been honest on my blog, and if I'm honest with you, this week I had "White Person Syndrome." I didn't want to be here, I wanted to be able to go some place by myself, I wanted to shop, I wanted "good" food, I wanted to have the comforts of a house...this is what I refer to as WPS. There was nothing that set it off, not any situations that were more difficult than any other week...good news, I'm over it!

1. Date Day - On Sunday, Claudy took me to our favorite restaurant in town, Pizza Garden. We didn't have pizza, but had a delicious meal and a great time. I even got to where high heels!!

 2. New Horizons: We started this project back in July. We are finally finishing! We repaired New Horizons house from the earthquake damage. Here's a couple pictures of the repair. They actually finished yesterday, but I haven't had an opportunity to go and take pictures of it being totally finished!

 3. Pumpkin Gingerbread Cookies - These were the hit of the week! Seriously, I think Claudy had at least 15. :) I will have to say they were delicious! Here is the recipe!!

4. The pictures is bad, but its of the boys playing some bball at a local court. I ran around the soccer field while they played! It was a great night!!

Apparently White girls can't play :)

5. Bible Study - This week at bible study we made masks! We are focusing our study on who we are in Christ and our identity. Please be in prayer for Sara and I, pray that we develop relationships with the girls and speak into their lives!! They are a fun and wild bunch!!

I hope you have a great day and a VERY Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wedding Wednesday - {The Reception}

I always wanted something simple, kid - friendly...a time to just hang out and be with our family and friends. We decided to have the reception in our yard, under a tent. Lois and Travis at Creations, did an amazing job making the tent look fabulous. The caterer, Zens, from what I hear did a great job with the food :) We also had a bonfire, smores, etc...It really was a special time celebrating with the people we love.

A special thanks also to Nate and Kristi Bucher for giving us some of the pictures they took at the reception!
